Normative information

DM 89/392 EEC 19/06/89 :
The design of these products allows its use as a component in a machine bound to a.m. standards requirements under the condition that its inclusion or assembly is satisfactorily performed by the manufacturer of the said machine.

CEM89/336 EEC 03/05/89 :
These single phase or three phase asynchronous motors (induction machines) do not radiate radio frequency electric fields and they are not sensitive to high frequencies. When they are connected to an electronic control device, the conformity must be verified by the manufacturer of the said machine (including motor and electronic controller).

Electronically commutated motors (brushless) conform to:

- EN 55022 class A, EN 55022 class B

- EN 55081-1, EN 55082-1

- EN 61000-4-2 Level 4

- CEI 1000-4-3 Level 3

DBT 73/23 EEC 19/02/73 :
These products are manufactured in accordance with and conforming to the LVD requirements. Before using the motor/fan, the operator has first to check for :
a) That the mounting and assembling instructions have been followed, in accordance with the LVD recommendations.
b) The correct requirements for earth connection have been met :
c) An appropriate overload protection system has been fitted. This must be rated to the power of the motor.
d) There is adequate protection against power surges and mechanical shocks.
e) Except for special designs, the following criteria have been used in defining the performance of the fan :
- Density of air : 1.3Kg/m3 at 20°C.
- RH £ 80%.
- Operating temperature range
- From -20°C to +50°C.
- Clean air.

RoHS European Directive  (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances)

The 2002/95/EC European Directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.

Although this restriction is not applying to components, the conformity of components is also important for various customers.

This Directive is related to the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) concerning the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment waste and is effective since July 1st, 2006.

RoHs conformity indicates that products don’t contain any substances listed below in superior concentrations to authorized maximum given by the Directive.

Substance

Concentration

Lead

0.1 %

Mercure

0.1 %

Hexavalent chromium

0.1 %

Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)

0.1 %

Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)

0.1 %

Cadmium

0.01 %

ECOFIT checks with its suppliers the conformity of their components to manufacture its fans and takes necessary steps to ensure the follow-up of the conformity.

REACH European regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances)

The REACH European regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances), with the intention of protecting human health and environment, submits chemical substances to a registration and an authorization for the most dangerous substances. (Substances of Very High Concern: SVHC)

It sets a replacement of concerned substances, as soon as they are identified on the REACH Candidate List.

This regulation imposes a complete control of products used by the company and by any supplier.

ECOFIT continues to check that its suppliers comply with REACH requirements for all materials and substances used.

Current analysis show that ECOFIT do not use such substances.
